![]() Chuck Nicholson *Signature Value : £35 | 1982 saw the beginning of TWR's long and highly successful association with Jaguar when the company first built and raced the XJ-S in the European Touring Car Championship (ETCC) running to the new Group A regulations. With a single entry for most of the eleven races Tow Walkinshaw partnered mostly by Chuck Nicholson scored three outright victories helping Walkinshaw to 3rd overall in the Championship. Win Percy and Charles Chuck Nicholson raced as team mates in the TWR (Tom Walkinshaw Racing) XJS Group A Touring Cars team of the early eighties. Gentleman Driver Chuck enjoyed a series of major race wins during those halcyon days, but also got to relish two special wins co-driving with Win at Donington (UK) and Salzburgring (Austria) in 1984. |
