Great Western Railway 2-6-2 T Prairie Tank locomotive no.4571 heads a two coach local train through hilly countryside on a cross-country route. The driver of an Austin saloon car has pulled in off the road just in time for his sons to scramble up the bank to have a closer look at the passing train. No.4571 was withdrawn in 1961 after nearly 37 years in service. Less than 30 copies left of this sold out edition. Signed limited edition prints. Artist Details : Don Breckon Click here for a full list of all artwork by Don Breckon Don Breckon Don Breckon was born in 1935 in Northamptonshire and is married with three children. He trained at the Bath Academy of Art and went to teach art at schools in Bedford and Reading. His painting during this period ranged from city scapes to abstracts and other experimental work. He contributed regularly to local galleries and to open exhibitions and in 1969 he reduced his teaching to part time in order to develop his own painting. His work was then becoming related to railway themes and was included in two travelling exhibitions at the Industrial Artists Group.
