William Bill Blackledge Beaumont CBE was born in Chorley Lancashire on the 9 March 1952. At the age of 17 he joined Fylde Rugby Club, Lancashire, in 1969 and stayed with the club until 1982 when injury forced his retirement. He won 34 caps for England, which was a record for a lock forward, and he captained England 21 times. At the age of 22 he took part in his first iinternational against Ireland in Dublin in 1975 as a late replacement for Roger Uttley. He toured Australia in 1975, Japan, Fiji and Tonga in 1979, and Argentina in 1981 with England. He played 15 times for the Barbarians, including the match against the All Blacks in 1978. In 1977 Bill Beaumont took part in the British Lions tour to New Zealand after being called up as a replacement for Nigel Horton, playing in the final three tests. In 1978 he became England captain against France in Paris. He was an inspiring captain of the North of England, whom he led to victory over the All Blacks in 1979, and also of England, who won their first Grand Slam for 23 years in 1980. Beaumont then captained the 1980 British Lions tour to South Africa playing in 10 of the 18 matches. He was the first English captain of the Lions since Douglas Prentice in 1930.

Matthew James Sutherland 'Daws' Dawson MBE was born in Birkenhead on 31st october 1972. One of the great English Rugby Scrum Halfs and is the most capped English Scrum Half, gaining 77 Engalnd caps and scoring a total of 101 points between 1995 and 2006. On his 50th Cap for England, they won the Grand Slam in 2003 beating Ireland. Matt Dawson was a integral part of the England side that also won the Six Nations and also the Rugby World Cup in 2003 passing to Jonny Wilkinson for the drop goal that won the World Cup. Matt Dawson also played for the British and Irish Lions between 1997 and 2001 touring three times and gaining 7 caps and scoring 10 points. Matt Dawson played for Northampton Saints from 1991 to 2004, playing 246 matches and scoring a total of 693 points, moving in 2004 to join London Wasps and playing 44 games and scoring 30 points.

Born in 1972, Lawrence Dallaglio is known as one of the key players in the England Rugby team in the last decade. He was a key player in England's successful 2003 World Cup bid and went on to captain the side the following year. He also appeared in the 2007 Rugby World Cup, often coming on as a substitute on their run to the final of the tournament, which England eventually lost to a powerful South African team. In domestic rugby, Lawrence Dallaglio has been an important player in the Wasps team, winning the Guinness Premiership on five occasions, and a number of wins in cup competitions, including the Heineken Cup.

Martin Osborn Johnson. Born in Solihull, West Midlands on the 9th March 1970. Martin Johnson at club level played for the Leicester Tigers earning 307 caps between 1989 and 2005. He led the Leicester Tigers to back-to back Heineken Cup victories and won the league six times. Martin Johnson also won 84 caps for England between 1993 and 2003 scoring two tries. Johnsons Highlight was the winning of the World Cup in 2003 under his captaincy. Martin Johnson retired form international rugby in 2004. Johnson also played for the British and Irish Lions in 1993, 1997 and 2001 earning 8 caps and was the only palyer ever to captain the Lions on two different tours.
