CLP0138. Clipped Signature - Don Blakeslee. American pilot who flew Spitfires with Royal Air Force No.401 Eagle Sqn from 1940 before leading No.133 Sqn. Transferred to the USAAF as an Ace, he was credited with 14.5 victories when the war ended. He died in 2008. Clipped signatures are usually obtained from prints or publications that have been signed in person. Often, signatures have been rescued - or clipped - from prints that have been damaged in another area. Clipped Signature.
