| Frederick Hardy *Signature Value : £45 (matted) | Served as leading cook aboard HMS Prince of Wales in the North Atlantic, Mediterranean and Far East. On 24/5/1941 he was onboard during the Battle of Denmark Strait against the German battleship Bismarck which sank HMS Hood and badly damaged The Prince of Wales. He manned the Pom Pom guns when she was sunk by Japanese planes in December 10, 1941 he was evacuated aboard HMAS Yarra from Singapore and further from Malaya to Ceylon in February 1942. |
