This is the first, and only, book to tell the full stories of the last three Ark Royals in detail; the wartime Ark Royal which saw so much action in the first two years of the Second World War; the Ark Royal of the 1950s, 60s and 70s which, during the years of intense antagonism between the superpowers, projected British maritime air power all over the world; and the present Ark Royal which will take the Fleet Air Arm into the 21st century.
