Jonjo O'Neill was born in Castletownroche, County Cork, Ireland on the 13th of April 1952 and is a former British champion jockey and is now an Irish National Hunt trainer. Jonjo O'Neill twice won the British Champion Jockey title and won the Cheltenham Gold Cup on the fantastic mare, Dawn Run who became the only horse to complete the double of winning the Champion Hurdle and the Gold Cup at the Cheltenham Festival. As a trainer Jonjo O'Neill is based at the Jackdaws Castle training establishment in England. O'Neill is the private trainer to J P McManus, one of the largest owners of steeplechasers and hurdlers in the world. At the Cheltenham Festival in 2009 the race horse Wichita Lineman, an O'Neill trained horse, won the William Hill Trophy, and Jonjo O'Neill trained Don't Push It who won the Grand National on the 10th of April 2010.
