First Lieutenant James S Rasmussen
Joining the 349th Bomb Squadron as a Navigator, Jim's first mission aboard Lassie Come Home was a raid to Frankfurt on 5th January 1945. He went on to complete a total of 33 raids over Europe and was awarded the Air Medal with five Oak Leaf Clusters and ETO ribbon with three Battle Stars.
