Captain H A Kidd DSO DSC* No Photo Available He was the Engineering Officer aboard Royal Navy submarine HMS Torbay in 1941 and took part in Operation Flipper, landing Commandos behind enemy lines in North Africa for the ill-fated attempt to assassinate General Erwin Rommel. Our sources show us that he was alive in 1986, the 45th anniversary of Operation Flipper, but we have no further information.
