Lord John Cameron KT DSC (deceased) No Photo Available Born in 1900, he served during the First World War as a midshipman in the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve. A student of law, he qualified in 1924 and became King's Counsel in 1936. During World War Two, he was again in the RNVR, and commanded MTB107 at the evacuation of Dunkirk. MTB107 was one of the last ships to leave Dunkirk, and Cameron was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross. He returned to law after the war, and was appointed a Knight of the Order of the Thistle in 1976. He died on 30th May 1996.
