Geoffrey Brooke (deceased) No Photo Available After a period as navigator of the destroyer HMS Douglas he was appointed as a yong officer on the Battleship Prince of Wales. Geoffrey Brooke took part in the action against the Bismarck in the North Atlantic in May 1941 during which the battlecruiser Hood was sunk. He was still serving in her that December, when she and the battlecruiser Repulse were attacked and sunk by Japanese aircraft off Malaya. He died on January 6, 2009, aged 88.
