Kapitanleutnant Heinz Franke (deceased)
Captain of U-262. Knights Cross 30th November. Franke took command of U-262 after several tours as watch officer. Heavily involved in the Battle of the Atlantic, he eventually took command of the diesel-electric U-2502 at the end of the war. Died 5th April 2003.
